Marc De Munter
As Corporate Tax Partner, Marc De Munter is responsible for advising and assisting Belgian and international clients in various sectors with direct taxation in particular. He has a wealth of experience in M&A tax matters, business transfer and succession issues, real estate structures, financing structures, tax aspects of investment, collective investment schemes, public-private partnerships and incentives for executives and directors.
Marc has worked in Baker Tilly's consulting department since October 2013. Prior to that, he practised as a lawyer at the Brussels Bar for 25 years, specialising in tax advisory and cases, for the first five years at De Bandt, van Hecke & Lagae (now Linklaters), then for ten years at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and for the last ten years at DLA Piper.
Marc holds a Master’s degree in Law (Ghent), a postgraduate qualification in tax, for which he studied in French at the Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Fiscales (ICHEC) in Brussels, and an LL.M. from the London School of Economics. In 2017, he was also awarded a 'Director Effectiveness’ certificate by Guberna in Ghent.
