Filip is VAT Director at Baker Tilly.
Together with the team Filip advises clients on VAT matters. On the one hand by supporting colleagues internally with questions and on the other hand by providing personal advice to clients.
VAT is a tax on transactions. Businesses therefore carry out daily transactions that involve VAT. It is therefore essential to know what rules to follow, but also what alternatives exist.
As VAT advisors, our job is to guide companies in the correct follow-up of rules, taking into account the status of the entity concerned, the sector and the location. We also inform them about new rules and offer support during implementation. But even when rules are not correctly applied, we offer advice and assistance. In such cases, we look to resolve any problems and minimize possible risks.
In addition, I also provide training on a regular basis.
In my free time I like doing long distance walks, such as the Death March. Going on a trip with the family, a day trip or just going out for a nice meal is also something I always enjoy very much.
